Meet Our Staff
Joanne McQuiggan	Joanne is the Executive Director for Thrive! The Canadian Centre for Positive Youth Devlopment. She has been with the organization since November of 1987, and has held a variety of positions at both Quest International in the US, and Thrive! (formerly Lions Quest Canada). She has been recognized with International President’s Certificate of Appreciation, Helen Keller Fellowship, and Life Membership in Lions Foundation of Canada. Joanne has been a presenter at many national and international conferences. She is a graduate of Wilfrid Laurier University with a Bachelor of Arts in Communications, Diploma in Business Administration and Masters Degree of Business Administration.
Patricia Howell-Blackmore	Patricia is the Director of Communications and Programs for Thrive! The Canadian Centre for Positive Youth Development.  She has presented workshops and keynote addresses at meetings, conferences and professional activities for international, national, provincial, and local organizations. Patricia joined our staff in 1991 and acts as a liaison with educators, Lions Club members, community groups, Ministry and School Board personnel. She also coordinates the print and promotional material, publications, program development and marketing efforts for Thrive!  Patricia is a graduate of Wilfrid Laurier University with a Bachelor of Arts in Communications.
Kay Stranz	Kay joined the Thrive! staff in November 1991 as an accounting assistant and has since has moved into the position of Events Coordinator.  Kay enjoys working with the Lions, educators, and other community members in an effort to make their communities a more positive environment for youth. Her main role at Thrive! is to liaise with sponsors across Canada and coordinate workshop details such as assigning trainers, booking flights, and ensuring that all the necessary materials are provided for each workshop and the coordination of our annual Helping Canadian Kids Thrive! Conference.
