Pre-Conference Sessions  

Three pre-conference sessions are being offered in conjunction with the Helping Canadian Kids Thrive! 2010 Conference.  Additional registration is required to attend these sessions.  Registration Forms can be found with the additional information for each session.  All Pre-Conference Sessions will be held on Wednesday May 5th, 2010 at the St. Albert Inn - the Conference Hotel.  Pre-registration is required for all pre-conference sessions.

 

Introduction to Asset Building

Wednesday May 5th, 2010 from 9:00 am to 12:00 noon
 

What are Developmental Assets and how are they built? This classic question will be answered in this introductory session. If you are new to the concept of Asset Building this session is for you!

Introduction to Asset Building Pre-Conference Session How Asset-Based Policing is Making a Difference
A Half-Day Workshop for Police Services

Wednesday May 5th, 2010 from 1:00-4:00 pm

Police services are perfectly positioned to be champions for positive youth development in our communities through their positive interactions with children and youth. This half-day training will share a variety of experiences from police services that are connecting Asset Building to their crime prevention and community building efforts.

Reunion for Positive Youth Development Training-the-Trainer Participants

Wednesday May 5th, 2010 from 7:00-9:00 pm

All certified participants from the Train-the-Trainer sessions sponsored by Alberta Health Services, RCMP K Division, ConocoPhillips, Northern Alberta Develeopment Council, and enCana during 2009 are invited to participate in this Reunion.  We hope that you are planning to attend the conference, and in that case, the reunion is included in your conference registration.  If you are unable to attend the full conference, but would like to join us for the reunion, then there will be a $25 charge.  To for more information or to register for the Reunion please click here.
