Canadian Asset Building Network - CABiN

Canadians love building assets with our children and youth!  We naturally take a strengths approach to supporting others. Thrive! is working closely with a committed group of individuals and agencies across the country to help advance the concept at all levels within our communities.

Canadians Gather at Healthy Communities * Healthy Youth 2007 Conference

This year is was Rochester, New York and we gathered over coffee and Timbits!  How more Canadian can you get?

A lively group of Canadian Asset Builders (and our adopted Aussie!) shared some great awareness ideas and progress reports.  We are currently following up with some of the ideas to help 'share the weath' of ideas.  Watch this website for more information and resources in the weeks to come.

Some happy Asset Builders (Amanda from Niagara, Ontario and Wayne from Richmond, BC) enjoy the Rochester HCHY Conference.

By the way, in case you didn't notice already there were quite a few 'Green Rider' fans in the group so we are sure that they were happy with the outcome of this year's Grey Cup!  Congrats to all our Saskatchewan friends!

Healthy Communities * Healthy Youth 2006 - Minneapolis, Minnesota
Twenty Canadians (and a couple of friendly Americans!) took part in the fifth annual Breakfast for Canadians held in conjunction with the the 10th Annual Healthy Communities * Healthy Youth Conference in Minneapolis, Minnesota on October 27th, 2006.  The group took the opportunity to share our thoughts on the Conference and Asset Building in Canada.

Participants brainstormed a 'Wish List' of ideas and resources as we move forward in Canada.  This Wish List will help to direct the efforts of Thrive! and CABiN as we work together to spread the word about Asset Building.  Thanks to all who took part!
